There are only 12 days till Christmas. Who reading happened to come upon this post while shopping online for gifts or mailing Christmas cards? It’s crazy!!! Christmas really is a wonderful time! Can you imagine Mary, Jesus’ mother, at this time. She only must wait 12 more days to give birth to the Messiah, the King of the world. Today, dwell on the fact that God is King. He loves you and always takes care of you. There is never any need to worry, because He is right beside you! Isaiah 9:6New International Version (NIV) 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the…

Presents and Jesus
Presents! Do you know how much joy presents bring to children on Christmas? Many smiles stretch across childrens’ faces all around the world at the sight of presents under the Christmas tree. Presents are a way to spread joy, bond with friends and family, and make memories. I was talking to my Dad about his opinion on presents. During this conversation, he reminded me that the Wise Men brought gifts to Jesus. Now, Christmas doesn’t have to be all about receiving gifts, but about giving gifts and praising God for the things we do receive. In my opinion, the world has twisted Christmas into some sort of trademark for spending…

Be Inspiration Part 6
COLOSSIANS 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Proverbs 25:15 With patience you can persuade a ruler, and a soft tongue can break bones. 1 Timothy 1:16 However, I was treated with mercy so that Christ Jesus could use me, the foremost sinner, to demonstrate his patience. This patience serves as an example for those who would believe in him and live forever. Hebrews 6:12 Then, instead of being lazy, you will imitate those who are receiving the promises through faith and patience. Finally, we have reached our last intimate Today’s Tenacity post focusing on Colossians 3:12. On Wednesday, we will sum up about all…

God’s Wonderful World Outside
Have you ever sat in a large pasture or field and just breathed God’s presence into your lungs? I’m really considering making the goal to do that soon. Ha Ha! I do strongly feel God’s presence sometimes when I am in the Word or praying, but I’ve never sat and just breathed. What would happen if we just sat and breathed in the Lord’s everlasting peace everyday in the earth He created? Close your eyes. Listen for His voice. Breathe His peace. Over all, reach for Him. God says that if we seek Him we will find Him. Deuteronomy 4:29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will…

Be Inspiration Part 5
COLOSSIANS 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 1 Peter 3:15 But dedicate your lives to Christ as Lord. Always be ready to defend your confidence in God when anyone asks you to explain it. However, make your defense with gentleness and respect. There are a couple different meanings of gentleness, but this is the one that we are going to discuss today (can be found at Dictionary.com): not severe, rough, or violent; mild: a gentle wind; a gentle tap on the shoulder. Would you listen to somebody’s opinion if they threw rocks at you or hit you? I would think not! You would probably think that that person was brutal and untrustworthy. As believers in…

Gather to Feast
My experience in my own home has shown something great, something worth sharing. Are you ready!?! Get ready!!! Give me your full attention for just one minute. If there is anything worth fighting for, it’s a relationship with your family. When it comes to family relationships, put everything else aside and ask God to help build a strong friendship between your family. Proverbs 17:17 A friend always loves, and a brother is born to share trouble. My family has and will forever cherish our mealtimes. A lot of connections start from a conversation during a good meal. We need not only to feast on food, but we need…
