Hi, readers and friends! I hope this blog post finds you enjoying a lovely day. Entering the new school year has been very exciting for me. So many new oppurtunities and activities for which I am extremely grateful have filled my schedule. They have also made me very busy! For this season of my life, blog posts will not look as they have during the past year. Instead, I will be writing shorter “Thought of the Day” journal-type posts. I hope you will enjoy these as much as you enjoy article-type posts. The goal of them remains the same: to encourage girls to grow closer to the Lord. As 1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV states, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
I will continue to pray about this switch-up, but I know that God sees me and knows me. I pray that He may use whatever I write for His glory. Time to close; sleep calls me as it is the end of a busy week. Keep pursuing the Lord. Stay alert and awake (speaking of sleep ;)! Revelation 4:8 GW (see verse below) reminds us that Jesus will come again, and as we wait patiently, we should keep praising Him simply for who He is, remembering all that He has done with thankfulness as many other Bible verses instruct.
“Each of the four living creatures had six wings and were covered with eyes, inside and out. Without stopping day or night they were singing, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, who is, and who is coming.’”
To conclude, this verse really hits it home: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). Good night!
Dear Father, what a better way to end the night than praying Your prayer, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” (Matthew 6:9-13 ESV). In Jesus’ name, Amen.
