FUN Snacks for Kids

Looking for some fun/healthy snacks for your kids this Christmas. Well, here comes healthy and fun! Today, I have some fun snacks that can be used when babysitting, for snack time at home, or for a little time in the kitchen with some littles. Lots of cool stuff!!!

Here are some cute snacks I created when making a snack for myself. Ha! There are three recipes down below. Have Fun!!!

-hAPPLE Christmas

Apple Christmas Tree

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, sliced into 8 slices
  • a spoonful of peanut butter

Supplies:

  • spoon
  • plate
  • cutting knife
  • cutting board

Directions:

  1. Place your apple on the cutting board. With your knife, cut the apple into fourths. Cut out the seeds and cut each fourth in two. Now you have eight slices. Make sure to ask an adult for help with this step. Knives are very dangerous and could easily cut you.
  2. Take your spoon and scoop out a spoonful of peanut butter. (A green or brown plastic spoon is even better if you have them.) Lay your spoon, peanut butter facing up, on a plate.
  3. Line your apples on their sides against the spoon at an angle to look like a Christmas tree. You’re done!!! Enjoy by dipping delicious juicy apples in peanut butter! (picture is shown down below)
  4. As a bonus, dust some “shimmer,” which is cinnamon and sugar mixed together, on your Christmas tree to add some Christmas touch!

-Have a Wormy Christmas!

Gummy Worm Apple

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 gummy worms
  • 1 apple
  • about 1/4 cup peanut butter

Supplies:

  • cutting board
  • cutting knife
  • butter knife

Directions:

  1. Get out your knives and cutting board. Place the apple on the cutting board and cut it into fourths with your cutting knife. Then, cut out the seeds. Make sure to ask an adult for help with this step. Knives are very dangerous and could easily cut you.
  2. Take your butter knife and scoop out some peanut butter. Slather the peanut butter on the sides of the apple slices with the knife.
  3. Stick two slices back together like they were never cut. Place 1-2 gummy worms on them. Cover the gummy worm(s) by sticky the last pieces to the half of apple you recently stuck together.
  4. Serve on a plate and let the gummy worm(s) do the rest. Enjoy!
