Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
May the Lord now show you kindness and faithfulness, and I too will show you the same favor because you have done this.
Kindness is an act of love. If you love one another, you should and will show kindness to them. I down italicize would and can show, but I do italicize should and will show. If you have a brother or sister you know what I’m talking about. No matter the age, brothers and sisters will get on your nerves. This is mostly because they look up to you or may tease you because you are younger, and they are jealous of the attention you receive, but it doesn’t mean they don’t love you. Hey! You might be the person teasing. Don’t deny it! 😉 Anyhow, we are called to show kindness.
Sometimes, kindness is sacrificing something. It could be letting someone have your turn in line or giving the last piece of pie to your brother or sister. Showing kindness can include forgiving someone, doing something random for someone, or whatnot. I want to encourage you to work on showing kindness tomorrow. If you want something bonus to do, I challenge you to find as many verses in the Bible as you can, about kindness. If you get the chance, I would love to see one or two in the comments. Hurrah for God’s kindness! Now, we can show kindness to others!
