Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
I will show you compassion so that he will have compassion on you and restore you to your land.’
On Friday, we talked about love, because we are dearly loved by Christ. Today, we are talking about compassion. Compassion is having a great concern for someone. In conclusion, you have pity for someone who is suffering or in misfortune. God has compassion for us. So, we need to have compassion for others. When other people are in trouble, take care of them with prayer and by showing love to them. Let them know that they are not alone, and that God has compassion for them.
This week, I encourage you to dwell on having compassion for people, even if they’ve hurt you. Have compassion, because, even though we hurt God by disobeying Him and sinning, He had compassion on us. While we are sinners, we have a saving grace that has shown us compassion. Let’s be a light in the dark and share God’s compassion with others!
