Power of Prayer

The power of prayer is stronger then an elephant, brighter than the sun, and more breathtaking than any marvelous sight ever seen on this earth.  Man can’t overcome it.  You can see the power of prayer throughout the entire Bible.  To start, look in the book of Psalms, and feel the extreme, overwhelming power of prayer.

Just think!  Trough  prayer, we can reach and talk to this omnipresent, holy, pure, perfect God, the one and only true God, which is our Lord Jesus Christ.  This thing called prayer- it’s unstoppable because no matter what language you speak, how loud you pray, or where you are Jesus hears you.

Still,  you may sometimes feel that God doesn’t hear your prayers.  One thing to keep in mind is that God will answer your prayers, but He might do it in a totally different way than you expected.

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

When hard times come pour on your shoulders, it’s also important to remember that God will answer your prayers at just the right time.  It may seem like forever before God works, but, meanwhile, He is doing something in your life greater than you or me, something that we won’t see or understand in the moment.

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Pick a verse from the selection in this post, and decide to memorize it. In this way, you are writing God’s Word on your heart, so that you can remember what it says about prayer when you’re going through something tough! Remember, God loves you, and He loves to hear your prayers!

Let’s pray!

Dear Jesus, thank you for giving us a way to talk and share our troubles with you! When we’re going through something hard, please, help us to remember that you hear our prayers and listen to them even if it seems like you don’t. You are so good, Lord! We love you! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
