Praise to the Beat

Music!!! Who loves it?  I do.  I actually play the piano.  It’s a lot of fun.  I have played for a long time, but I never get tired of it.  Unlike a specific food perhaps, that gets kind of boring after you eat it every day for a week, music never gets old!

GUESS WHAT!?!  Jesus is just like that!  He never lets you down.  He will always be there for you because He loves you.  Whenever you are having a bad day, He knows. Not only does He know, He sees.  He has felt your pain and you aren’t alone.  Even when you’re having a great day, He’s there!

Jesus is soooo great!  Wouldn’t you agree?  He deserves praise!  One way to praise Him is through music.  Earlier, we were talking about music. You could listen to it all the time.  In our culture, music has some nasty things in it, but through all those icky words and lyrics, Jesus music is alive and raging.  You can always turn on the radio, flip to a station like K-Love, Family Life Radio, or Air1, and you find some great worship music.

Since Jesus is so wonderful and deserving of praise, lets make sure that we praise Him regulary.  Next time you turn on a beat, let it be beat that loves Jesus and praises Him. Praise the Lord with every chance you have!  Praise to the beat!

Dear God, thank you for all the wonderful things you give to me, including music. You are more than deserving of praise. If music is one way I can praise you, please help me to find some good songs that express my love for you. Please help me to enjoy the worship songs I sing as well. I love you Jesus! In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
