Luxury Awaiting- Gentle Baby & Bergamot Sugar Scrub

Have you ever just wanted to relax at home. Maybe, you wish you could have some luxury like at the spa. Well, I have a sugar scrub recipe that will change that wish to reality! I researched nourishing ingredients for the skin, and I watched many videos on how other people make their sugar scrub. Then, I had a little fun and started to test out my own sugar scrub recipe! Try this effective, soothing, and relaxing sugar scrub, and I know you will be in paradise!

When you make sugar scrub you don’t have to use exact measurements. As long as you know the ingredients you can kind of determine how much to use. So, you might need to use more or less of one ingredient or the other. Make this sugar scrub just right for you.

Ingredients:

  • white sugar (I used about a heaping half cup.)
  • about a TBS. honey
  • about a TBS. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • about 2 heaping TBS. coconut oil
  • about 8 drops Gentle Baby essential oil
  • about 10 drops Bergamot essential oil

Directions:

  1. Put the sugar, honey, and the olive oil in a bowl. Grind them together with your hands. Your sugar mixture should end up with a soft, ground texture. You don’t have to use the olive oil. I just use it as an extra moisturizer. Although, make sure you don’t use too much, or the scent of the olive oil will overtake the smell of the essential oils.
  2. Next, add the coconut oil until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Your sugar scrub is almost complete. The last step is to add the essential oils. You might have to add more than I suggested depending on how strong you would like your sugar scrub to smell. Then, you can transfer the sugar scrub into a pretty jar. You should end up with about a cup of scrub.

Applying:

After rinsing your hands (for example) in water, take a dollop of sugar scrub and message it into skin. Continue messaging skin as you rinse your hands in warm water, completing your luxurious treatment. Pat skin dry.

This sugar scrub doesn’t only smell beautiful. The oils moisturize skin. The sugar exfoliates the skin, bringing out a clean, healthy glow. The honey is nourishing for the skin, and the essential oils are soothing and relaxing! You can use the scrub about one to two times a week, or whenever you feel the need for a little relaxing luxury.

This sugar scrub works great for dry skin. For example, my hands get really dry, but when i started using my Gentle Baby & Bergamot Sugar Scrub recipe daily, I was amazed at the difference it made. One thing I would like to point out as well, is the chance to change your essential oils for different smells. You could use Lavender and Lemon, Rosemary, or Rose. You could use Orange, too.

I was very happy with how this sugar scrub works, and I imagine you will too! Thanks for reading! Make sure you share this sugar scrub recipe with your friends by sharing this post with them. Also, make sure you comment and tell me if you liked this sugar scrub!
