What kind of people do you hang out with? How many of your thoughts focus on God? How many of the activities you do benefit Him? These are questions you might ask to find out where the foundation of your life stands.
The foundation of your life is important because like a house it holds up the whole thing. If your foundation is built on sand it will fall down. If it’s built on a hard rock it will stay standing. Which one is your foundation on and where do you want it? The best foundation for any life is the Rock Of God. We know this because it says so in the Bible.
Our foundation will not crumble if we put it on the Rock of God. God is merciful. He forgives us. Does He not? God is loving and He wants to have a relationship with us. That’s why He gave us the Bible. He is caring as well. Even with all the sins we commit He has always and always will provide for us according to His plan. That is who God is. He is more than that. That is why God is my rock and that’s why He should be your rock.
Everything we do depends on our foundation. The choices we make, the lifestyle we choose, and so many other things depend on it. When we put our foundation on the Rock of God, not only will our lifestyle and our choices point to Him, He can help us with anything you have trouble on. Whether it’s math or sports, He will help you. God is good rock and if you put your foundation on Him you will be more than surprised on wonderful He is. God will keep your house standing!
2 Samuel 22:3
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior— from violent people you save me.
